Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to our city for the Annual Meeting of EGDG and the Comprehensive Dysphagia Management Conference.
Medical and paramedical health professionals from European countries are invited to exchange knowledge and experience, update some of the most challenging yet practical issues on Dysphagia management and also place some of the future questions and progress aims in the field of Feeding and Swallowing.
Moreover, participants from Greece will have the opportunity to build an interdisciplinary scientific community, sharing common interest on the field of Dysphagia and Feeding disorders in the local environment of our country.
This interaction between medical and other health scientific specialties is in the scope of this year’s meeting. We believe that close interaction and collaboration is the most essential part of an up-to-date care and management of the dysphagic patient.
We, in Thessaloniki, have the honor to host this specialized yet interesting meeting. We hope that the warm weather of September and the overwhelming beauty of Thessaloniki seafront will create a warm feeling among colleagues and an open horizon for the care of our dysphagic patients.

Thessaloniki is the second in size city in Greece (Hellas). The name has been given after the wife of king Cassandros of Macedonia, one of Alexander the Great successors and was the principal city of the Greek peninsula in the medieval, Byzantine and Roman era.
The historical centre is located at the sea front. Nowadays Thessaloniki is the capital of Macedonia and has rich cultural, artistic and recreational opportunities for the visitor. It is a modern city but you can find much of its tradition in food and music.
There is still a “small summer” during late September in the region and a pleasant weather for a relaxing walk in the sea front or through the historical centre. We also intent to please our guests with cultural and special local suggestions for recreation.

Looking forward to a successful meeting.
